Well here it goes...

I love stationary and snail mail - people do not write enough letters these days! Last February I met Martha. She was Stephen's good friend's date for the Valentine's Day Ball (it was called Midwinter Formal). The guys talked us into hiking House Mountain before the Ball (um...and no water was taken along!). Ha!

I think we cleaned up nicely! :) Much to our surprise, we were not too tired to boogie on the dance floor that night!

And just so all of you know...this picture was taken THE DAY I HAD MET HER! This girl loves the Lord and loves people - she is a teacher in the inner city too! There is a sad part to this story however, she lives in Tennessee. I have not gotten to see her since May 2009 or talk to her until just recently. We randomly started texting after I sent her an email about my blog (and to everyone else in my contact list). To be honest, I did not realize I was sending it to her, but I am so glad I did. After texting back and forth for about 10-15 minutes, we decided that we should be pen pals. :) Sound old school? It may be, but it is perfect for us being that we live so far away.

In honor of Martha, I am going to do my very first tutorial. Before I begin, I must apologize for the terrible photographs! I feel especially embarrassed because I am friends with quite a few photographers. Eek! No judging, friends! :)

Tutorial: How to line an envelope.

I hope this all made sense. I would love some feedback! I have quite a few other craft projects in the making, so it would be fun sharing those with you, but I need to know if I am being clear. :)

This is such an easy and affordable project. It would be a perfect gift for your pen pal (or to a long-distance friend you have a hard time keeping in touch with), a shower gift, or to a recent high school graduate. Who else could this gift be useful for? I am all about practicality!

I encourage you to reach out to someone who you have lost touch with and become pen pals. It makes going to the mailbox so much more fun!

Love,

I love how God puts people in our lives just when we need them! You are such a dear friend....and we've spent a grand total of maybe 10 days together (if that)? I am praying that our paths cross again soon! And I'm working on that letter! :) Love you!! xoxo
